At Lord Lawson of Beamish School every child matters and we are absolutely committed to providing a caring, safe and supportive environment to every individual at the school.
Our purpose built House system provides a caring and supportive atmosphere where every student feels safe, secure, happy and well supported within their Houseblock. This means that we have 4 smaller family groups within the school. Each House Team is made up of around 300 students from Year 7 through to Year 11. Siblings are placed within the same House as each other to provide the natural family support within the school.
Each Houseblock is comprised of a Head of House, a Deputy Head of House and a Pastoral Assistant who work within the Houseblock full time. Their role is to be there for the students to help, support and guide them in any way that is necessary. Between them they monitor academic progress, attendance and the social and behavioural aspects of school life.
