David Grigg has been Headteacher at Lord Lawson for 5 years, having formerly been a Headteacher in Durham since 1996.

Mr John Reach

Deputy Head Teacher PFI
John began working at LLOB in 1993. He started life here as a Head of House. His current role is to ensure that the PFI project runs as smoothly as possible.

Ms Heather Raistrick

Deputy Head Teacher
Heather Raistrick has worked at Lord Lawson since 1986. She is presently Deputy Headteacher (previously Head of Geography).

Mr Steve Turner

Assistant Head Teacher
Mr. Turner is one of the longest serving members of staff having taught at Lord Lawson of Beamish School since 1974

Mrs Paula Trueman

Paula Trueman has worked at Lord Lawson for 20 years, roles having included Head of the Mathematics Department, Head of Fleet House and now Assistant Headteacher.

Miss Sue Nellist

Assistant Head Teacher
Previously Head of the Geography Department and working at the school for 11 years, Sue Nellist is now Assistant Headteacher

Mr Jim Diamond

Assistant Head Teacher
Jim Diamond has worked at Lord Lawson since 1997. Previously Head of Fleet House, he is now an Assistant Head responsible for Inclusion and Support.

Mr Nicholas Mills

Assistant Head Teacher
Nicholas has worked at Lord Lawson since 1996. Before joining the Senior Leadership Team, his previous role in school was Head of Sixth Form.

Mrs Denise Taylor

Assistant Head Teacher
Previously Director of Arts College at Lord Lawson since 2006, now an Assistant Head Teacher with responsibility for Applied Learning and Arts college specialism.

 

Mr Dave Nicol

Dave Nicol has been at Lord Lawson since 1987. Recently retired as Deputy Headteacher, he now is a Curriculum Consultant.

Iain Beveridge has worked at Lord Lawson School since 2002 having previously worked in Durham.
