Remembrance Day 2011

 

 

At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 2011 the school held its biggest remembrance event to date.

Students from the Army, Air and Sea Cadets along with student representatives of St Johns Ambulance and the Fire service paraded in uniform to pay their respects.

Students provided a colour party with the flag of the Sea Cadets being presented.

During a short address 22 names of friends, relations and ex pupils who lost their lives during past conflicts were called to be remembered.

Although space was limited many staff and students were able to attend the event and the whole school joined in by listening to the Last post and the chimes of Big Ben and by observing the 2 minutes silence.

The event was described as poignant and moving.
