Lord Lawson pupils compete in Premier League Enterprise Challenge
On Moday 14th November 2011 four Lord Lawson pupils, Lauren Allison, Amit Balaggan, Bradley Edwards and Nathalie Fyfe took part in a Premier League enterprise challenge at White Hart Lane, the home of Tottenham Hotspur FC, where they represented Newcastle United FC.
The event marked the launch of global entrepreneurship week and was attended by several keynote speakers including Richard Scudamore (Chief executive of the Premier League) and Sir Keith Mills (Entrepreneur and Deputy Chairman of the London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games).
The pupils took part in an enterprise challenge where they had to generate their own idea, create a presentation and business plan then present their idea to a panel of judges and a large audience. The pupils were very well received and judges commented on their ability to engage the audience but alas the winning prize went to Blackpool FC, a decision which created more than a murmur in the audience. The pupils though should be rightly proud of their efforts as they defeated other schools to represent Newcastlle United and proved to be worthy adversaries in the final itself.
