Athena Hairdressing Presents
The BTEC Diploma Hairdressing students took us on a ‘trip down memory lane’ highlighting the fashions and hairstyles from the 1960s to the present day. From the Bouffant to the Bob, the mini to the maxi and back to the mini again. The students showcased styles, trends and iconic figures through the last five decades.
Over forty students helped with outfits from each decade from the 60’s to now. The students had outrageous or high fashion outfits with the hairstyles to match. The evening ended with the girls dazzling in Prom dresses accompanied by Year 11 and Sixth Form boys in evening suits, traditional dress and kilts, showing LLOB style.
Two students, Laura Moody and Zoe Sutton were the comperes for the evening, with cameos of events from each decade. Entertainment was provided during changes by Mr A Duffie and then the BTEC dance students. The proceeds from a raffle and trade stand donations, were sent to a charity in memory of Hedley Hayward, former Deputy Head.
This glittering show was a resounding success for both the organisers and the students.
Many thanks to all those involved.
