A LEVEL EXAM RESULTS 2011
Lord lawson of Beamish students are celebrating another year of outstanding A level results. As a year group, these are probably the best results the school has ever achieved, with a pass rate of 99% and an average points score of 683.
No fewer than 9 students achieved 3 A grades, and a total of 17 A* grades and 75 A grades. Over 30% of all grades were A or A* and 75% were C or better.
Outstanding student performances included Jonathan Lloyd who achieved 3 A* grades and will be going to Cambridge University; Rebecca Oldham, Lee Gardiner and Naomi Lea each with 2 A* and one A grade; Alison Peel, Daniel Harrison and Sean Seddon each with one A* and 2 As and Kate Pearson who achieved 3 As. Magda Nyadu scored an amazing 1,455 points with an A*, two As and two B grades.
Almost all students were admitted to the university of their choice.
