Admissions September 2011

 

 

Parents will be notified today of their allocated place for secondary school in September 2011. 

I would like to thank and congratulate the students who have been allocated a place at Lord Lawson of Beamish School in September.  I am grateful that you have put your faith in us and we will do everything we can to justify your choice.

 

This year, as in previous years, a number of young people and their families will be disappointed that they have not been allocated a place in next year’s year 7.  I know from personal experience the impact a refusal of a place can have, so I have enormous sympathy for those families.  However, I also know from previous experience that many students who are initially refused are later offered a place.  There are several reasons for this but in the past the overwhelming number of those initially refused have been offered a place.
