Moulin Rouge 2010

I have never felt so proud in my whole drama career as I did on the opening night of Moulin Rouge.

The journey began way back in March 2009 on the final night of ‘We will rock you’, the seed was planted but little did we know how difficult this journey was going to be. The production team consisting of myself, Miss Brown, Mrs Fisher, Mr Green, Mr Rothwell and Mrs Taylor worked tirelessly pushing ourselves to the absolute limit, but boy was it worth it!

A huge well done to the whole cast but I must mention a few individuals for their contribution.

Jordan was a magnificent leading man who shared my belief and vision from the start and I thank him for that. I swell with pride when I think about Jacob- possibly the most talented all round drama student that I have ever taught. I pushed and challenged Katie throughout the rehearsal process and she eventually understood why – an outstanding performance. Nikki stepped in at the last minute and became Zidler overnight – a perfect student to work with. Abi  Smith made my jaw ache with laughter every night and the whole ensemble acting was magnificent. Year 13 I will miss you.
