Year 11 Leavers Presentation Assembly 2010

Thursday May 13th was a special day in the life of our year 11 students because it marked the end of timetabled lessons and the start of intensive revision in preparation for the final examinations.

The Presentation Assembly is now an established "right of passage" in the school year and ranks alongside the Prom in order of importance though admittedly, not quite as much fun. Our guest of honour this year was Will Gidman, a professional Cricketer currently playing for Durham. He presented the year 11 students with their Progress Files and then gave an informative and motivational talk in which he encouraged the students to achieve their potential, whatever that might be and whatever the obstacles.

The students were supported in the audience by their parents, Governors and school staff who were extremely complimentary about the event and in particular the exemplary behaviour and attitude of the students. We wish all students every success in the forthcoming examinations and we are hoping for our best ever results!
