WOW Week

World of Work week 25th-29th January 2010.

World of Work (or WOW) Week (25th-29th January 2010) is an exciting week in our school calendar that focuses on our second specialism of Applied Learning. Students will have the opportunity to experience learning in "real" work-based situations across the entire curriculum and have the chance to work with a variety of professionals from a range of careers.

Some students will find themselves in Art designing fashion accessories alongside a designer from one of the country's biggest fashion retail stores, or piecing together the clues of a murder in History with the help of a forensic detective. Others will be taking part in a national competition in English supported by NHS professionals, while all Y9s will be competing against each other in the high-powered world of architecture and design - have YOU got what it takes to beat the rest?

 

Every department is taking part, so put the WOW into your week - ask your teacher what YOU will be doing during WORLD OF WORK WEEK.
