Hairdressing Competition

A group of year 13 students attended a hairdressing competition at Blackpool Winter Gardens on Monday 16th March 2009. The year 13 students, Rachel Hall, Sabine Siegerth were accompanied by year 12 students John and Jacob Carr (see pictures below). The students won their places at the competition by competing in a regional heat, which was held at the Federation Brewery in Dunston on February 2nd 2009. In this competition Rachel Hall won first place, which assured her a place in the Blackpool competition.

Congratulations to student Jonathan Lloyd who raised money for Comic relief. Jonathan agreed to have his head shaved in front of staff and students on Red Nose Day, March 13th 2009, and raised over £300 pounds in the process.
