Mountain Bike Prize Draw
On the 19th November I announced a Bike It competition to win a Specialized Hard Rock Mountain Bike which was kindly donated by Alan Barlow our Bike It officer. All students had to do was ride into school five times to get an automatic entry into the prize draw. For every five rides after that, another entry would also be given. I issued further entries to students who showed a commitment to the Lord Lawson Cycle Stig Challenge.
My two trusty cycling assistants Lewis Coates and Ewan Moist have been reporting back to me on a daily basis in order to help me monitor the cyclists at Lord Lawson and I am very pleased to say that we had nearly 700 bike rides giving us 114 entries into the draw. I’d also like to point out that as a keen cyclist myself, I know firsthand that some of the weather conditions over the last half-term have been less than appealing to cyclists, however this did not hamper the efforts of our regulars who battled through heavy rain, wind and frost in order to get to school. Well done to you all for your efforts.
Mr Grigg was kind enough to draw the winning name and make one students day even better.
I can now proudly say that the winner of the bike was Anna Stephenson from Fleet House, so well done Anna and keep up the good cycling.
Watch this space for more chances to bag yourself a bike in next terms raffle and don’t forget The Cycle Stig is waiting so if you think you have what it takes then come and have a go.
Thanks to all the cyclists at Lord Lawson for your efforts.
Mr Goodwill
Lord Lawson Bike It Champion
