Yr 9 Rugby V's St Thomas More School
The year 9 rugby team represented Gateshead in the Durham Schools Championships playing the winners of 6 other districts in Durham.
The games were 15 a side and 9 minutes in length. Each team had to play each other in the league. The results were as follows;
Lord Lawson v Roseberry Sports College 26 - 0
Lord Lawson v St Johns 7 - 0
Lord Lawson v St Hilds 12 - 0
Lord Lawson v Consett Community College 17 - 7
Lord Lawson v Billingham Campus 5 - 14
Lord Lawson v Greenfield 17 - 5
The year 9 boys played some excellent rugby during the tournament and were unlucky to have been beaten by Billingham Campus, as a result of that defeat Lord Lawson finished second in the league.
