Presentation Evening 2006
The purpose of the evening is to celebrate the achievement of our students in all aspects of their lives.
We were delighted when Fab Flournoy the Newcastle Eagles Basketball Coach agreed to come and present the awards this year, he established an immediate rapport with the students and willingly signed autographs at the end of the evening. The award categories included those for endeavour, academic success in GCSE examinations, subject prizes, Sports awards, Citizenship and Children of Courage Trophies. In total 182 students were recognised for the outstanding contribution they make to the life of the school; their parents can be justly proud of them!
In his closing remarks Fab said that he attends a number of similar events but has never been so impressed by the range of awards given, and the selfless nature of so many of our students who put others before themselves. He thanked parents in particular for being the strong foundation their children's lives and bringing them up so well - they should be very proud of them.
