Awards Ceremony
Once again our awards night was a great success, which also included our guest speaker Matthew Davies a former student.
The Annual presentation evening is our opportunity to recognise and reward the sustained hard work of Lord Lawson students over the last academic year. Presenting the awards this year was a former Lord Lawson of Beamish School student Mr Matthew Davies.
Matthew 's career since leaving Lord Lawson has been in the media where he hosts an award winning BBC Cleveland radio show, writes a regular newspaper column, and works in the film industry with Ardman Animations. After presenting 160 awards to our students Matthew gave a very witty and engaging address to the packed audience. He said he owed much of his success to the encouragement he had received in school and encouraged all the award winners to dream big dreams and achieve their ambitions.
