On Wednesday the 10th October four of our 6th formers got up at 3am to fly to Poland and learn more about what it means to understand The Holocaust.  They  visited the camps at Auschwitz and Birkenau as well as the town of Oświęcim which was home to over 7,000 Jewish people before Nazi occupation. Prior to their visit students heard an almost overwhelming testimony from Eva Clarke, and discussed how and why we should remember these events from 80 years ago.
Eleanor, Tallulah, Molly and Daisy will be following up this visit by sharing what they’ve learned in the coming months.
